Emilie de Ravin has received a response from American Airlines after she put the company on blast for the actions of a “disgusting” employee.
The 34-year-old Once Upon a Time actress says that her breast pump was forcefully taken from her by a female employee while boarding a flight at LAX Airport in Los Angeles.
“We saw the tweets and we are looking into the issue, and we do apologize to the customer for the inconvenience,” the airline said in a statement to Us Weekly. “Just to clarify the policy, we absolutely welcome breast pumps on board the aircraft. In fact, they do not count against your carry on baggage. So normally you’re allowed one bag and a personal item aboard the aircraft, but a breast pump we consider a medical device so that is allowed in addition. We will have our Customer Relations reach out to [Emilie de Ravin].”
Emilie requested that the airline fire the employee who treated her inappropriately.
